80th Birthday Celebrations
Day 1 - Index
All up we took over
200 photos over the two days, would you be interested in
seeing them all? They are available on CD-ROM at
Web South,
Or interested in purchasing a video of the events contact
Web South.
- Eudunda Quilter's
Patchwork
& Quilting Exhibition
There were 90 odd quilts shown and they
looked fantastic. Well worth a trip just for that.
- Colin Thiele Performances
The performances by students from Eudunda
Area School, Eudunda Lutheran Primary School and
Robertstown Primary School were superb. Great singing
and funny performances based on Colin Thiele's books
with a slant by the students to a "packed house".
Unfortunately I
can't show photos as I don't have permission (at the
moment).
- Celebrationary Lunch
Catered by the Heritage Committee. A
chance for people to get together and refresh
acquaintances. One couple I know of was thrilled to meet
again after 40 years away.
We were lucky enough to meet Colin's two sisters who
were here to celebrate with us.

(L - R) Myra Geyer, Dorrie Mackenzie (nee
Thiele),
Avis Rohde (nee Thiele), Pat Stapleton.
- Art Exhibition - Eudunda Club
Everyone was able to view the
artwork today, The official launch was at 8pm Today.
There are many exhibits and the artwork is fantastic.
Why not come and see for yourself - this Saturday
(today)

Our art critics are viewing 3rd
prize (middle).
-
Unveiling of
the Julia Creek Police Station
The official unveiling was held in
the afternoon with about 60 of the South Australian
Police Historical Society present with local residents
there was a very good crowd to this significant event.
The scenery at this location was worthy of photos,
without there being an historic marker.
- Official Opening of the Art
Exhibition & Wine & Cheese Tasting - Eudunda Club
Wines were generously supplied by Liebichwein and the
event was a night to remember by all those who attended.
