Natural Sequence Farming (NSF) techniques at
Baldina Station, Burra

Wednesday
 5th of July, 9:30am-12:30pm

Attention: South Australian Land Owners or Land Care persons

¨        Is your property in a worse condition than it was 40 years ago, 30 years, 20 years? Or what about even just 10 years ago!

¨        Have you come up against a brick wall in trying to think of what to do, or who to contact for advice?

¨        Are you prepared to think outside the square?

¨        Even if at first you think it sounds too easy and too cheap to work, would you give it a go?

¨        Well, if you have answered yes to all of those above, you are already on the way to turn your property around.  Read on…

Peter Andrews will be presenting a seminar on self-developed Natural Sequence Farming (NSF) techniques at Baldina Station, Burra  Wednesday 5th of July, 9:30am-12:30pm. He plans to speak on his techniques and how they can be applied to our local country-side, and will use Baldina Creek (just East of Burra) as a demonstration site.

Peter Andrews has had extraordinary success converting degraded, salt-ravaged land into fertile, drought-resistant pastures. Instigator of the Natural Sequencing Farming concept, he faced tremendous obstacles and personal setbacks getting his methods accepted by a wary scientific and farming community. But he got there, and now eminent scientists agree that Peter may have the solution to alleviating the effects of drought on many parts of the Australian landscape.

Peter’s Natural Sequence Farming provides a low-cost, widely applicable method of reducing drought severity and boosting productivity on farms and the natural fertility of the landscape. The technique is based on ecological principles, low input requirements and natural cycling of water and nutrients to make the land more resilient.  There’s been much community interest in natural sequence farming since Peter’s story was repeated on Australian Story in February 2006

Please see attached information regarding the field day (PDF), Peter’s background & registration form (PDF) if you would like to attend.

Agencies please note, all donations are thankfully received. As you can understand Peter’s time & travel expenses do not come free of charge. Sponsorship donations will be acknowledged in all print, e-communication & presentations on the day.

We look forward to seeing as many people as possible at Baldina, to listen and learn about Peter’s alternative farming methods.

Sincerely,

David
