Building
The Dohnt home
was opposite the hotel. It was half way between the school and the Lutheran
Church and was on 20 acres. It had a verandah at the front and at the back.
On the back verandah at either end was a bathroom on the left and a laundry
on the right. The out house was behind the house in the backyard. Inside there
were two bedrooms on right side. On the left side a lounge was at the front
of the house and a kitchen at the back.
The Schiller
home was a farmers home and was on 464 acres. It had a verandah at the front,
on the left side and at the back. On the back verandah at the left end was a
bathroom come laundry. The out house was on the right side of the house and
was only accessible from the outside. Inside there were two bedrooms on right
side. In the middle at the back of the house there was a lounge. At the middle
of the front there was a kitchen with a walk in pantry. On the left were two
more bedrooms. On the outside back left corner of the house was the boys room
with a cellar underneath. Behind this there was an underground rainwater tank.
The Hotel was
on 1/2 an acre of land. It had verandah at the front, left side and at the back.
It had eight bedrooms, a sitting room, a parlor, a dining room hall and a bar
room. It had cellars under 2 rooms and a cellar under the counter in the bar
room. The bathroom was on the back verandah. It had a large underground water
tank behind the hotel to the right. In the back yard were fowls and pigs, a
